About Kitchener
With a population of nearly 205,000, Kitchener is the biggest of the Tri-Cities, one of southwest Ontario's largest urban areas. The area also includes the cities of Cambridge and Waterloo. Kitchener is the administrative and cultural heart of the Waterloo Region and contains the regional headquarters, courthouse, Centre for the Arts, and the largest library in the area. Kitchener boasts two large hospitals: Grand River Hospital on King Street West and St Mary's General Hospital on Queen's Boulevard. Schools are found throughout the city, including Conestoga College's main campus in the southwest of the city (universities are found in the city of Waterloo).
