About Sault Ste. Marie
Sault Sainte Marie is the name of two cities on the Saint Marys River, which forms part of the boundary between the United States and Canada. The word "Sainte" may also be abbreviated as "Ste." The city is rich with history and was an important crossroads during the early settling and economic development of western Ontario and the Prairies. Sault Ste Marie retains a small town feel, despite its size, and residents can get around with ease during most times of the day.
