Halloween is here and it's time to get spooky!
We want to make sure all of our residents have an unforgettable Halloween, so we've put together a list of frighteningly fun events near our apartments.
Eerie Entertainment in Aurora:
Saturday, October 27 from 6 to 9pm
Fee: $5; wristbands available at Town Hall or the Aurora Family Leisure Complex
Join the fun and trek through decorated trails at Sheppard's Bush. There will be three cabins to explore along the route, which are suitable for all ages. Start at the Aurora Family Leisure Complex with crafts and games, then take the complimentary shuttle bus to the bush and enjoy a charity BBQ for a nominal fee before or after you head through the trails. Gently used winter clothing donations are appreciated.
Saturday, October 27 from 1:30 to 3:30pm
Fee: $3 for child's admission
The Elman W. Campbell Museum in Newmarket is being transformed into a BOO-seum for children ages 4 to 10. Kids can take in the festivities with some creepy crafts, and complete the Halloween Hunt for a prize. Residents of our Aurora apartments can get to the museum in under 15 minutes!
Spooky Shindigs in Sault Ste. Marie:
October 27 and 28th from 6:30 to 11pm
Fee: $13 per person
Spend the evening at Mockingbird Hill Farm in their haunted corn maze. Test your navigational skills in the dark, using only a flashlight to escape the 4-acre haunted maze. Bring your own flashlight or buy one at the gate for $4. Residents of our Sault Ste. Marie apartments are just 15 minutes from the farm.
Saturday, October 27 starting at 8pm
Fee: $20 per adult
Leave the kids with a sitter and help the Canadian Royal Purple Society raise money in a haunting way at their Hallowe'en party. Come to Elk's Hall in your best costume and enjoy a light buffet, music, dancing, and a cash bar. Prizes for the best costume will be awarded. Tickets are available at the door, or call ahead to ensure you don't miss out!
