Open since 1971, Ernie’s Coffee Shop, on Queen Street East, has been serving breakfast since 1971. Find the classic favourites here along with some healthy alternatives like Avocado toast, oatmeal, granola, and protein smoothies. All dishes are made from scratch with gluten free, vegetarian, and vegan options. Ernie’s is open Wednesday to Friday from 11:30am to 9pm and Saturdays from 12pm to 9pm.
The Blockhouse Pub serves all day breakfast from its location in the train station, just minutes from our rental apartments. Breakfast includes all the classics you’d expect along with yogurt parfait, cereal and milk, French Canadian Poutine Waffles, and oatmeal topped with fresh fruit. The Blockhouse Pub is open Monday to Saturday from 8am to 9pm and Sundays from 8am to 8pm.
